DE Students Comments
This is a post that I want to use to generate anonymous comments about my teaching from my students. Hopefully they will post here.
If you are my student, here are the four questions I would like you to answer:
1. What do I do well in class?
2. What can I do better in class?
3. Why did you register for my class?
4. Will you register for my class again?
DIRECTIONS:

1. You are an energetic and enthusiastic teacher. You keep a balanced sense of perspective. You are trying to listen to my broken English as well.

I was deeply impressed by your enthusiasm in happy class. I know you tried to listen to the pronunciations of all students. As a student, I felt your passion and I could be easily concentrated on your class.
And, in the regular class, you always tried to correct my expression and pronunciation. And your mail was very useful to me!!

1. You have a fine sense of humor, so every your class is joyful. You also give me useful advice to relieve my stress. Sometimes I'm surprised at your many-sided learning.
2. The correction e-mail which you adapted recently is original. Your messages will be remained in my mail box and I can check them whenever I want. I hope to give mails to each other more often, and talk about more subjects which I don’t tell you in the class.

: you are very energetic and passionate about teaching. I can feel your energy in your classes.
2. What can I do better in class?
: Never afraid of catching students' mistakes. You're already doing well. Should be more rigourous, but always encourage students. read textbooks more carefully and study them. If a teach doesn't do research on it, surprisingly students can catch it.
3. Why did you register for my class?
: I have no specific information for teachers here. My requirement was a female US native teacher.

: Yes! I hope to see you in a regular class.

Oh, and I think your e-mail for student is very convinient because
I cannot remember all things what I have to know correctly.

: Actually your class was one of my classes which is registerd randomly by receptionist but I was really satisfied with your class.
And honestly I really wanted to register your class again but you are having vacation now, right?
So I was so disappointed.

: Of course. I really like your class.
I'm really impressed by your passion and effort to be a better teacher(?). I think you are a good teacher already!

I went your pronounce class three times and met one-on-one in your room and think that you try to converse with your students in delight.
However, I beg a favor of you.
First, you should help me talking about something more related with topic in text book than other things. This is because our class is short.
Whenever I met you, I felt comfotable and easy in spite of fear in english. I really appreciate your teaching.

Gee, not surprised that you tend to stray off of the textbook track;) Not that I've ever known you to teach outside the box...Cute idea, though. If I was still in junior high, I'd love to try this out with my kids, because the anonymity allows for more freedom of expression. Call when you get home!
I just wanted to say I'm so glad so many people have commented on these questions. Thank you so much for the positive feedback, it is very helpful for me. I hope to continue getting comments from my students when I return to DE in September. Thanks a lot guys, you're helping me to become the best teacher I can be! :)
Hi Amanda. I think that this trial is very nice to improve your teaching ability. I try to answer sincerly.
Q1)You do well to revise our pronunciation. Most native teacher seldom try to revise Korean students. They can understand the meaning almost which students speak although students speak English wrongly. Revising a pronunciation is important for us to learn Englisn.
Q2) I think that various conversations need in a class. Of course, we can not ignore the textbook and curriculum. However, only focusing on textbook is not good because we need our real ablity that we can use Englsih whenever or wherever. Impromptu question or conversation is very helpful for Korean student.
Q3) I love to teach exact pronunciation in our class. There is few teacher to focus a pronunciation in Korea.
Q4) Unforunately, I can register for your class no longer. However, I will recommend your class to other people if there is a chance.

Correcting my expressions and pronunciations really helps me to increase my skills.
2. Using the google e-mail is a good idea and gives me more chances to study english whenever I turn on the computer.
