The problem with Blogging
So, almost every day I see something and I think... "I should blog about that!" But as you can see... I don't... So, the question is why? Well, I certainly am lazy, but there are also other things I would like to be doing at the moment. Like, right now I would rather be studying Korean, or writing yet another English email to yet another Korean physics teacher who will ignore me... why is every one here so afraid of speaking English!? I could also just be reading up on the news, or planning my vacation... The problem is I have so many things I could be doing, and no real structure to my days, so I tend to waste a lot of time. I would love to add structure, but then I will feel confined by my own virtual barriers and then I will get sad... So, Im not sure what to do! Oh, and of course, the most popular excuses I have are "I need to download the picture first before I can blog about it" and "eh, no one reads this anyway"...
I know there are at least 3 people who read this, and thats my fault, I have all of my friend's emails at home and they told me to send them an email when I get to Korea, and I didn't... oh wellz... Anyway, update time. I know about 200 words in Korean now, so I can basically talk to a 14mo old kid... and order Bibimbap! I had a nice relaxing weekend, but I saw two really sad movies.
The first is JSA or Joint Security Area. I STRONGLY advise that everyone see this movie and write their opinion about it and send it to me. This will really help you to understand more about Korean people and the situation here than you ever could have without coming here and chilling with Koreans every day. The movie is in Korean and English, but the Korean parts have subtitles. It was a really popular movie so I am sure you can find a torrent to DL it on, and if you can't, let me know. The second movie I saw, which is also highly recommended, was The Kingdom. I think all Americans, especially those who support war, should see this movie and meditate on it deeply. The ending has a very powerful message that you could miss if you watch it with a closed mind, or if your mind is clouded with hatred. But I really think we Americans need to understand our world much more than we do, especially if we want to rule it.
That being said I am in a real slump now thanks to those movies... they are great movies, but they really make me want to do something about these problems... but I cannot think of any active role I can take, the only thing I can think of is the passive role of compassion for all, and hope others follow my lead, but that just doesn't seem... powerful enough, but perhaps I am wrong... I hope I am wrong.

Compassion is powerful, leading by example is powerful ...I've heard that we should be the change we want to see, I think Ghandi and you have said that :)
Cheer up sweetie ...you make a difference everyday.
I love you!!
